Toni-Ann:

We've all been there. We have a routine, you get in the groove, and then life happens. Whether it's dealing with a sick kid, caring for a family member, or in my case, a hurricane that everyone is forecasting is going to take out the entire state of Florida. Getting back on track with your routines and habits can feel challenging when things are throwing you off course. So let's talk about how to get back on track after a busy season. Hey there, my name is Toni Anne. I am the podcast host of the Real Happy Mom podcast, the podcast for busy working moms who need more time and want to achieve their big goals without pulling their hair out. And in this episode, I'm going to share with you three steps to get back on track when life happens. So, you know, I only work with brands that I believe in myself and I integrate into my everyday life So I'm super happy to talk to you about magic mind Magic Mind is a mental performance shot that I take in the mornings when I have several tasks that require me to focus and concentrate. So instead of drinking another latte, I like to drink Magic Mind, and I can feel calm and focused. It's like when Mario gets that mushroom inside of Super Mario, you know the game. Instead of growing and jumping higher, my superpower is a sharp mind and increased productivity. And I've been using MagicMind for years and I absolutely love it. And I want you to give MagicMind a try too. So go to www. magicmind. com and experience the mental clarity and calm that I do. So last month I was on the struggle bus. I had the hardest time with juggling work, real happy mom, and the closures that were happening due to the hurricanes that hit Florida. And on top of that, I was planning a retirement ceremony that felt like I was actually planning a wedding. Now just so you know, the retirement ceremony went well. It was beautiful. Everything was perfect. Perfect. But I missed some deadlines with some sponsors and had to reset and get myself back on track. So if you've ever felt like life is lifing and you need to get back on track, I'm going to share with you a few things that have helped me that I wanted to pass on to you. So the first thing is, Give yourself some grace. I know initially you want to probably hear some really great tactic or strategy, but I know I'm so guilty of beating myself up for past self decisions that I've made, and I don't want you to do the same thing. So step back and take a look at this situation. And you will look and see that you probably were doing the best that you could with what you had with what was going on. So before you pull out the stick and start beating yourself up for your past self, for the things that you didn't do or you did do, give yourself some grace. If not, you'll find that you keep second guessing yourself or you'll struggle to get back on track because you're afraid of making the wrong decision. And that's because you know that future you is waiting with the stick that we were talking about to beat you down for the wrong choice that you make. So instead of doing that, give yourself some grace and go ahead and start to look and see how you can move forward. The next action step. is to make a plan. So once I gave myself a moment to be in my feelings, and I was really feeling my feelings, and I gave myself some grace, I stepped out of that and I started to make a plan. I figured out all the things that I needed to do for the retirement ceremony, including putting all those tasks onto a Trello board and started knocking things out. So instead of thinking about how behind I am with everything that I had going on, I decided to map things out in Trello so I knew exactly what needed to happen and when it needed to happen by. So make that plan and start executing. And then the last step, like I already kind of mentioned, is taking action. It's easy to get into the mode of planning or what I like to call planning. Procrastinate planning, you know, when you keep putting things off because you're planning things out. So once you have a rough plan, it's time to take action. Stop sitting around, stop thinking and wondering, and take action. Trust me, future you will be so much happier that you did and I promise you she'll put the stick away. So once you start taking action, you'll get more clarity and you'll know all the things that need to happen because I know you're probably thinking Well, what if this happens and what if that happens? We'll deal with that when we get there Just start taking one task at a time and start knocking things out and get yourself back on track So that's it. Those are the three steps that I took to get back on track after being on the struggle bus for way too long. I hope all of these things have helped you. And Giving you something to think about if you are feeling like you're off track. So that's it for this week. Make sure you stay tuned for next week when I'll share with you three ways to organize your week with Trello. Take care and with lots of love.
