Sometimes motherhood feels like a thankless job. You put in so much effort every day, but it’s rare that someone stops to tell you, “You’re doing a great job.” In this episode, I want to pause and give you the encouragement you deserve—because I see you, and I know you’re doing better than you think. This episode is your reminder that you are enough, you are loved, and you are a good mom.

I remember when I had my son, he was less than a year old, and I went to church one morning and one of the ladies stopped me and she was like, I just wanna tell you, you're doing such a good job with him. And I was like, huh? She was like, yeah, I can tell you're doing really good and you're a good mom. And when I tell you that made my day, my week, my month, my year, that made me feel so good. And the crazy thing is that is the first and the last time I've heard that. At work, I definitely get pats on the backs and high fives when I'm doing great. And even in sports and stuff, like when I'm just playing around having a good time, people will be like, yeah, good job. Good job. But. When it comes to motherhood, I rarely hear that. Now, I will say my oldest, he's been getting pretty good at telling me I'm the best mommy ever, but usually that's followed with a request. So I don't know if that one counts. But anyways, I'm telling you all that to tell you that I know that motherhood is hard. It's beautiful, but it's hard. And sometimes you can feel like you're not doing enough. You feel like you're not doing a good enough job or. You may just feel like I'm doing all of this and is it really working? And I just wanna let you know you're doing a good job and I can tell you're a good mom. And the reason why I know this is'cause you listen to this podcast. I have seen some mothers, not to throw any shade, but I have seen some mothers that were not the greatest. Let's just say that. As far as in my days as being a dentist, I've seen many mothers come in and yeah, there were some that I were like, yeah, she's, I can tell she's a great mom. And then there's others that I'm like, Hmm, it's kind of questionable. But you, you are a good mom, and I just wanna tell you that I know some days you feel like you're not checking enough boxes or you feel like you're falling short because laundry's still in the basket. The house isn't spotless, and you don't always cook gourmet dinners, but none of these things define your worth. As a mom, you are doing enough because you are showing up because you know your kids are loved because you keep going even when you're tired. And I want you to know I see you and I think you're doing great. You are doing a great job and you're a good mom. So next time you feel that pressure creeping in, come back to this episode and play it again. If you need a reminder because it's true, you are enough, you're doing great, that's it for this episode. Take care, and with lots of love.
