You are tuned in to The Real Happy Mom podcast. I'm Toni-Ann, and this is Holiday Voices. This is a special series where moms share quick tips and meaningful moments to help you trade chaos for calm and make this season a little more like you. So let's jump into today's voice. Hi, my name is Justine Carino, and I'm a licensed psychotherapist who owns a group practice in New York. I'm also a coach for high achieving women, where I give them strategies and tools to manage their anxiety and stress while struggling with perfectionism and people pleasing. What I'm going to be doing this holiday season to have less stress is to really think carefully about the experiences I want to have and create boundaries around that. I have two small children and I can get really caught up in wanting to make everything perfect and special. This often leads to our calendar being booked every weekend through Thanksgiving and Christmas, and it actually takes away from the joy. I start to get stressed. The kids get overwhelmed, and we're not truly enjoying the activities. This year, I'm carefully looking at the calendar, talking to my family about the traditions and events that mean the most to us that we wanna carry out. It's not about quantity of what we're doing, it's about the quality of what we're doing to create these memories. That's it for this one. It is short, sweet, and straight from the heart. And if you're loving the series, make sure you follow the show or subscribe so that you don't miss what's coming next. I'll be back again tomorrow with another one of these holiday voices. Until then, take care and with thoughts of love.
